Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient’s field of vision.

Brow Lift

Brow lifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired. Using either traditional or minimally invasive (endoscopic) methods, the muscles above the eyes are altered to smooth lines and raise the eyebrows for a more youthful appearance. The procedure is often combined with other operations such as blepharoplasty and facelifts to improve the look of the eyes and other areas of the face.

Endoscopic Brow Lift

In an endoscopic brow lift, several small incisions are made within the scalp, into which an endoscope and tiny surgical instruments are inserted. The skin in the forehead area is lifted, while excess fat, muscle and skin are removed to produce an improved, younger-looking appearance. Your doctor may use temporary screws or sutures to hold the skin and muscle in place during the healing process.

The incisions are then closed and the head is wrapped with a bandage. Any stitches or staples can be removed within a week, while screws are removed after two weeks. The entire procedure takes one to two hours to perform, with patients able to return home the same day.

Cheek Implants

Whether or not we notice it consciously, full cheeks are often a part of how we judge a person’s face. Cheek implants can have a major impact on the appearance and self-confidence of patients whose cheeks have thinned or sunken due to age, illness or other causes. Likewise, the chin helps provide harmony to the facial features. Often, patients come to the office desiring a smaller nose when, in fact, a chin augmentation provides a better balance to the facial features. Implant sizes and shapes to augment the cheek and chin are tailored to each patient’s desired appearance.

Chin Augmentation

Although many people do not notice it, a weak chin can significantly affect facial appearance, causing the nose to look larger or the neck to look loose. Chin augmentation is often performed to provide a more balanced facial appearance and create a chin that is stronger, wider or longer, depending on each patient’s individual goals.

During the procedure, an implant made of silicone or another soft, flexible material is inserted into the chin through a small incision underneath. The implant may be placed into a pocket or secured to the bone with screws for long-lasting results. This procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to perform, with patients usually able to return to work and other regular activities the next day.

Facelift

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. Facelifts counteract these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.

Fat Grafting

Fat grafting is a cosmetic surgery technique that can be used to enhance or plump up different areas of the body as an alternative to synthetic implants. During this procedure, fat from the patient’s own body (usually in the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks) is extracted and then injected into another area that is lacking sufficient fat volume and fullness, such as in the face, breasts, buttocks or any other area.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation increases the size of the lip for patients whose lips have lost volume with age, or who are unhappy with the natural appearance of their lips. Through injectable fillers, autologous grafts or synthetic implants, patients can achieve larger, fuller lips with minimal downtime and little to no side effects. With realistic expectations and good overall health, most patients are satisfied with the results of this procedure.

Neck Lift

The neck is often one of the first areas of the body affected by the signs of aging, resulting in wrinkled, hanging skin that can make you look much older than you feel. A neck lift is a surgical procedure that sculpts and smoothes the neck for a younger, natural-looking appearance with no clear signs of surgical intervention.

Otoplasty

Otoplasty, or ear surgery, is a surgical procedure performed to correct large, protruding or otherwise deformed ears for a more proportionate appearance. Unlike most other plastic surgery procedures, otoplasty is most commonly performed on children, as the ears are typically finished growing by the age of four. Early treatment helps reduce teasing and any affect on self-esteem that large or misshapen ears may cause. Otoplasty may often be performed to correct ears damaged by an accident or injury.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Many people who undergo rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, are unhappy with their results and seek additional treatment to achieve the results they desire. Unsatisfactory results may occur because of a complicated condition, poor communication between patient and surgeon or because of the patient’s natural healing abilities.

Revision rhinoplasty is often more complex than a primary rhinoplasty, as there may be less cartilage available and a graft from the patient’s own body or a donor may be required in order to create the desired shape and proportion of the nose. Incisions for this procedure can usually be made in the nose to conceal any scarring. It is important to choose a highly skilled and experienced surgeon to perform your revision procedure, and to ensure a clear understanding of your goals for surgery in order to achieve the most successful results.

Rhinoplasty

One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, rhinoplasty is performed to reshape, reduce or augment a person’s nose, remove a hump, narrow nostril width, change the angle between the nose and the mouth, or to correct injury, birth defects, or other problems that affect breathing. Results depend on the patient’s nasal bone and cartilage structure, facial shape, skin thickness and age (teenagers should have had their growth spurt).

Scar Revision

Scar revision is performed to reduce the appearance of scars caused by injury or previous surgery. Scars are by definition permanent, but surgery can narrow, fade and otherwise reduce the appearance of severe or unattractive scarring, which is especially helpful in areas of cosmetic importance such as the face and hands.
